My first online shopping on Zalando

Nel post precedente vi avevo presentato Zalando, un recente sito di shopping online, promettendo di mostrarvi a breve i miei primi prodotti ordinati. Dopo la presentazione di Matteo ho deciso di sperimentare subito in prima persona con un acquisto. Prima di tutto devo confessarvi che la scelta non è stata facile: c'erano davvero un sacco di vestiti, top e accessori che mi piacevano, ma alla fine ho optato per un paio di vestitini molto estivi nei due colori moda di quest'anno, ovvero l'azzurro e il giallo. Ho fatto l'ordine il 12 giugno e dopo qualche giorno (perfettamente nei tempi previsti) ha suonato alla porta il corriere con il mio pacco.

In my previous post I introduced you Zalando,  this recent online shopping site, with the promise to show you soon the clothes I bought. After Matteo's presentation I decided to test Zalando's services myself with a purchase. First of all, I  have to confess the choice has been difficult: there was a lot of dresses, tops and accessories that caught my attention, but in the end I chose two summer dresses, one sky-blue and one yellow. I completed my order on June 12th and some days after, the courier rang my doorbell with my Zalando's parcel.

Oggi vorrei presentarvi questo sito di shopping online, che penso ormai molti di voi conosceranno: si tratta di Zalando.it, un sito in cui è possibile trovare abbigliamento, scarpe e accessori per uomini, donne e bambini. 

Today I would like to introduce you an online shopping site that, I think, many of you already know: it's Zalando.it, a website where you can find clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and kids.

MFW - MAN s/s 2012 DAY 2

Questa seconda giornata di Fashion week milanese ha visto sfilare molti nomi importanti della moda. Io aspettavo soprattutto Prada, Emporio Armani e Vivienne Westwood, ma devo dire di essere rimasta alquanto delusa: se premio l'originalità e la creatività nella moda femminile, mi sono accorta di essere molto più conservatrice in quella maschile. 

 Many known stylists' collection have been presented during this second day of Fashion week. I couldn't wait to see all the new creations of Prada, Emporio Armani and Vivienne Westwood, but in the end, I found them very disappointing: usually I appreciate originality and creativity in womenswear, but in menswear I realized to be very conservative.

MFW - MAN s/s 2012 DAY 1

Ieri a Milano sono ufficialmente cominciate le sfilate moda uomo per l'estate 2012 e si riescono già ad intravedere i trend per la nuova stagione. Molti stilisti hanno infatti puntato sui colori accesi e sulle maxi bag come accessori. Qui vi presento le immagini delle sfilate che mi hanno colpito di più per questa prima giornata.

Yesterday, Man Fashion shows officially started in Milan to present the new collection s/s 2012 and the trends followed by designers are already visible. Many of them chose bright colours and maxi-bags as accessories. Here's a selection of the fashion shows that stroke me most in this first day.

Who wear it better?

Si sa scegliere un abito, soprattutto per un grande evento come un red carpet, non è cosa facile: mi stringe troppo, troppo poco, troppo appariscente, anonimo, fa i fianchi larghi ecc. Per alcune star diventa un vero e proprio stress perchè un minuto dopo l'evento tutti commentano, criticano o approvano. Bene, immaginate di aver scelto il più bel vestito, quello che vi valorizza al meglio, che nasconde tutti i vostri rotolini e poi....ecco che un'altra celebrity ha scelto il vostro stesso vestito! Tragedia! Come salvarsi da una situazione così scomoda? Un bel sorriso e fatevi una foto con la vostra "nemica", come hanno fatto Jamie Lee Curtis e Sigourney Weaver.

Everybody knows that choosing a dress for a very special event, such as a red carpet, is not so easy: too much small, too much big, too much fancy ecc. For some celebrities this activity becomes a real stress because a minute after the event everyone already talks about it, everyone approves it or not. Well, let's imagine you find the perfect gown, the one which suits you perfectly and then...another celeb chose the same dress! Tragedy! How to save yourself from this delicate situation? A beautiful smile and take a photo with your "enemy", as Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver did.

My photographic inspiration II

Secondo appuntamento dedicato ai miei fotografi preferiti che con la loro arte ispirano i miei esperimenti in questo campo. Oggi vorrei parlare di Régine Mahaux (purtroppo non ho trovato una suo ritratto abbastanza grande da inserire quindi ho scelto una delle mie foto preferite come copertina), una famosa fotografa che forse molti di voi ricorderanno per aver ritratto molte famose neomamme con i loro pargoli, come Christina Aguilera e il suo Max Liron. I suoi lavori sono spesso finiti sulla prima pagina di riviste come People e Vanity Fair.

Second post about my favourite photographers who inspire my little experiments with the camera thanks to their art. Today I would like to talk about Régine Mahaux (unfortunately I didn't find one big portrait of her, so I chose one of my favourite ones as cover), a famous photographer that many of you maybe remember for her portraits of some celebrities and their children, such as Christina Aguilera and her baby Max Liron. Her works were often used on magazines such as People or Vanity Fair.

Yes, it's true! After a few days of experiments I'm ready to show you my blog's Facebook page!! From catwalks to carpets

  

"Ma cosa si è messa?", "La modella lo porta meglio", "Ha i soldi, ma non sa come spenderli". Penso che tutte noi abbiamo pronunciato almeno una volta nella vita una di queste frasi guardando le celebrities sui giornali di moda o gossip. Forse con una punta d'invidia, forse con un po' di sano realismo, i commenti sulle scelte fashion delle vip nostrane e internazionali sono uno passatempo divertente e, diciamolo, chi non prova un sospiro di sollievo nel constatare che anche loro possono sbagliare?

Quindi ragazze via libera ai commenti sulla selezione di abiti che vi propongo in versione "catwalk" e "on celebs" ^^. Ovviamente anche in questo caso, i miei commenti sono del tutto personali e discutibili.

"What has she put on?", The model wore it better", "She's rich, but she doesn't know how to use money". I think everyone said one of these phrases once in a lifetime watching celebrities' photos on magazines. Maybe with a bit of jealousy, maybe with a bit of healthy realism, commenting upon celebrities' fashion choices are a funny pastime and let's confess: we sigh with relief when we realize they are not unerring people.

So girls, let's comment upon this dresses selection in their "catwalk" and "on celebs" version. ^^ Obviously, my comments are personal and questionable.

She's a butterfly

La farfalla è forse uno dei pochi insetti che gode delle mie simpatie, con gli altri il rapporto è un po' problematico. Dato che la mia preferita è la Morfo Blu, nome che prende dal suo caratteristico colore blu metallico, ho pensato di creare questo outfit appositamente. Quale accessorio migliore della mia nuova Tosca Blu con le farfalle blu in rilievo? ^^

Butterfly is one of the few insects that I like, while the relationship with the other ones are quite troublesome. My favourite one is the Menelaus Blue Morpho, which takes its name from the typical iridescent blue colour. So, I decided to create this outfit taking inspiration from it. Moreover, this was a perfect occasion to wear my brand new Tosca Blu with blue embossed butterflies. ^^

Cannes 2011: the worst dresses

Questo è il mio ultimo post dedicato al festival di Cannes e dopo aver parlato degli abiti migliori...diamo un'occhiata ad alcune cadute di stile sul tappeto rosso. Ci tengo a sottolineare che si tratta delle mie opinioni basate sui miei gusti personali. Qualunque punto di vista differente è ben accetto, perciò commentate pure liberamente e magari sarà interessante confrontare le nostre scelte. Spero che il post vi piaccia e vi susciti qualche sorriso. ^^

Here's my last post about Cannes festival and after talking about best dresses...let's have a look at the worst ones. I want to highlight that this is just my personal opinion based on my personal taste. Any different opinion is welcome, so please feel free to leave your comments. As I told you before, here's the second post where I talk about Cannes Festival. In this article I'll comment the dresses that I loved most. I hope you'll approve my choices, otherwise, let's exchage our points of view! ^^
